April 2003

The arrival of autumn may mean less daylight to spend with our horses, but it provides a welcome break from the hard work of show preparation. It gives us time to sit back and reflect on the good times we have had over the summer show season. Our horses have competed with great success in shows all over the North Island. In addition we have enjoyed catching up with our mini friends from various regions.

Highlights of this season include:

And always, win or lose, at the end of the day we are proud to take our horses home. We think they are great and enjoy the chance to show them.

A recent trip to Australia to see the MHAA Nationals in Tamworth and MHI Nationals in Dubbo was a good chance to combine some "R&R" with our miniature horse interests. Thanks to all the Australian mini people we met for the warm welcome and the opportunity to see your horses.

Now looking ahead for the rest of 2003, we are pleased to have all our mares confirmed in foal and and rounding up nicely. We eagerly await three foals by Bluegables Monarch’s Overture and one by Tiny Trotters Wizard. We wish all the best to the owners of visiting mares also expecting Overture foals.
